Siril and Dorina at Wiesbaden

Report from Horse2rider.eu

Starting for Norway was Siril Helljesen on her just 9-year-old Danish Warmblood mare Dorina by Blue Hors Don Schufro / Ragtime bred by Eigil Bugge Skjødt in Randers. A rather unfortunate start when Dorina spins by the entering halt, but from there a pretty good trot tour with nice rhythm and impulsion by the half passes. Good piaffe tours with good strength both in and out of the passage, and a nice passage with good lift and clear rhythm. Beautiful two times, the beginning of the one times are a few somewhat obscure first flying changes, but getting nice and big at the end of the series. The couple leaves a good impression and Dorina certainly seems to have the qualities for the top.

Also well done to Camilla Kalseth and Carte d’Or.  Both combinations had to cope with a challenging warm up due to the electric atmosphere created by the presence of Totilas in the warm up arena at the same time.  The event attracted many people around both warm up and main arena, estimated 5,000 spectators.   I was very proud of both riders as they stayed focused on the job in hand.  Very well done.
