About Paul

Paul commenced his training at the British Equestrian Center Stoneleigh under the late Lt. Col. Bill Froud FBHS, where he was the years top student. Paul
was then invited to join the staff of the British Horse Society. During this time he successfully completed his professional exams.
 

Following his time with the British Equestrian Center Paul joined the staff at Catherston Stud as Chief Trainer and Instructor, remaining in Jenny Lorriston-Clarke's employment for many years. Paul assisted the British Equestrian Teams at the Olympic games at Munich, Montreal, Seoul and Barcelona ~ also at many World Games and European Championships.
 
In 1985 Paul and Jenny gave a Grand Prix long rein demonstration at "The Horse of the Year Show" for which they were highly acclaimed. Paul has trained many top trainers and is recognised as one of the world's experts in lungeing and long reining. His modern system blends modern horsemanship with classical principals.
 
In 1986 Paul was awarded a Sir Winston Churchill Scholarship, which allowed him to travel throughout Europe, training under many of the great masters. Paul has been in demand as a trainer worldwide ~ giving clinics in USA, Spain, France, Denmark and Norway. Paul has also trained many of Britain's leading combinations at all Levels. He is a member of the International Dressage Trainers Club.
 
Paul also keeps abreast of current training methods and new ideas, being an extremely popular trainer and exceptional horseman, he is probably one of the few people to know the true meaning of horsemanship. 
 

About Tessa

Tessa has been riding from an early age going through the Pony Club system. She then went to the Chattis Hill Equestrian Center at Stockbridge in Hampshire where she trained for her professional exams. While there she was able to observe many top trainers at work, in all disciplines. Ending up as Senior Instructor for all student preparation for BHS exams.
 

After leaving Chattis Hill Tessa and her partner managed the dressage training yard of Annie McDonald-Hall School Fm at Romsey in Hampshire. During this time Tessa successfully competed up to intermediate eventing and at grade B show jumping She was also much demand for breaking and training young horses this led to her being asked to go to the Dutch Federation to help with the preparation of young Stallions for the 100 day grading.
 
On returning to England Tessa joined her now husband, Paul Fielder at the Cholderton Equestrian Center, Wiltshire where horses and riders were being prepared for the Barcelona Olympics, Together they produced many advanced dressage horses. To name a few Lord Sebastian, Calendo, Arun Gold.
 
With Paul's commitments of teaching abroad they decided to have a smaller specialized quality yard. School Farm just outside of Norwich in Norfolk now become their new base. It was in this area that Paul's family farmed and the location is ideal for young horse production.
 
Tessa has established a good local base and now specializes in producing dressage horses. At present she is preparing horses to compete at Prix St George to Grand Prix level.
